We have been informed that scammers are calling individuals under the false pretence of representing the Tax Department. The fraudsters are telling their victims that they will be receiving a refund and to go to either Mriehel or Floriana to claim this refund.
THIS IS FAKE!
If you receive a suspicious email or phone call claiming to come from the Tax Department and have disclosed any personal information, banking information or processed any payments or money transfers, immediately report the matter to the local police and your respective bank.
